<br />
I have been struggling with renaming this blog for months and months! I started this weird hashtag thing on most of my Instagram pictures and twitter posts #TheLainArchives and I did it so that later on, when we want to look back we can look at what was going on in our lives just by searching the hashtag. I secretly kind of wanted to rename my blog so that played a part in the hashtag too.<br />
<br />
Anyway. I have officially moved to TheLainArchives.com and I have asked some of my friends to collaborate with me and write about their areas of expertise. I am more than excited to be changing things. Usually I'm not a huge fan of change, but this one. Well, I have been waiting to make this one for a long while.<br />
<br />
I am not only making this change because I want to or I'm excited. I also feel it's more appropriate for what all is on here and the different areas covered. Chosen was based primarily on the Word and then, I started putting DIY, Food, and just random ramblings from my mind. So, I decided to change the name to appropriately fit what all will be on here. It's called the The Lain Archives because it will still have all of those things, but mostly it will be DIY, Food, and just ramblings about what all goes on in the Lain household.<br />
<br />
I hope you enjoy all the changes! If you have any suggestions please don't hesitate to comment or email me.<br />

<br />
I feel like it has been an entire year since I have blogged! For real! But I am so glad to be on here tonight. I'm just going to get right to the point. I have been crafting up a literal storm in our house. I have been making soap, this other product I can't even talk about yet, signs, banners, cards, letters for my walls, and all kinds of random home decor projects.<br />
<br />
Tonight I want to talk about this "autumn" banner my co-worker, Nikki, and I made the other day. We made quite a few actually, but this one is our favorite because it's going up on <a href="http://lacyln.storenvy.com/products/9955372-autumn-banner" target="_blank">Lacy Ln</a> today, and I am so excited! I am actually excited because there are quite a few new things going up in <a href="http://lacyln.storenvy.com/products/9955372-autumn-banner" target="_blank">Lacy Ln</a> in the next couple of weeks and I could not be more ready and happy to share them all with you!<br />
<br />
Back to the sign:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDvnz2ScxGXWA1hPVF6gpLK8jd4R-HP0Iniws6R4O6uwKQS7C-rFpVXKfgdzx_wMZa-Y0Ndfoaqx0yGvtkNAO1aS7cTF_2MNW7UonihpxaCEcA4gSszE48DpjI1XduD0joBz3LZ8OCrTU/s1600/photo-64.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDvnz2ScxGXWA1hPVF6gpLK8jd4R-HP0Iniws6R4O6uwKQS7C-rFpVXKfgdzx_wMZa-Y0Ndfoaqx0yGvtkNAO1aS7cTF_2MNW7UonihpxaCEcA4gSszE48DpjI1XduD0joBz3LZ8OCrTU/s1600/photo-64.jpg" height="556" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here is a quick and [hopefully] easy tutorial:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Gather your supplies:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<ul>
<li>Paper [background color(s) and BLACK CARD STOCK] Not construction paper, or computer paper, or anything else, card stock (trust me we tried the others)</li>
<li>Hole Punch or Pen</li>
<li>String, Yarn, or Twine, etc.</li>
<li>Glue gun or stick glue</li>
<li>Chalk</li>
<li>White paint and tiny brush or a white paint pen [whichever you find easiest]</li>
<li>White board eraser </li>
</ul>
<div>
Directions:</div>
<div>
<ul>
<li>Cut out the shape that you desire [it doesn't have to be exactly like ours]</li>
<li>Cut out a smaller version of that shape, 1 centimeter works great</li>
<li>Use these as your template and trace on the colored paper your bigger shape and on the black paper the smaller shape</li>
<li>Cut them out</li>
<li>Paint your letters on each of the black ones</li>
<li>Let them dry completely</li>
<li>Use the chalk and smear it all over each of the black pieces </li>
<li>Erase [be careful not to completely get rid of the chalk, just gently erase it]</li>
<li>Glue the smaller on top of the bigger shapes</li>
<li>Let completely dry</li>
<li>Punch Holes with your pen or hole punch about an inch inside the outer edges on each side</li>
<li>Sting your string through the holes</li>
<li>Loop it on each end </li>
<li>Hang</li>
<li>Enjoy!</li>
</ul>
<div>
If you like it but don't have the 20 minutes to sit down and make this you can buy it by clicking <a href="http://lacyln.storenvy.com/products/9955372-autumn-banner" target="_blank">here</a>.</div>
</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I hope this was helpful! Have a blessed day! </div>
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Okay, some of you may have read my<a href="http://lacymeeker.blogspot.com/2014/05/detox-water.html"> earlier post</a> about <a href="http://lacymeeker.blogspot.com/2014/05/detox-water.html">Detox Water</a> and since then, I have done some research and done some experimenting. Here are the results and I feel completely better since I have been drinking just an 8oz glass a day. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>Ingredients:</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<ul>
<li>1 Lemon Packet (pure lemon)</li>
<li>2 Tbs Apple Cider Vinegar</li>
<li>4 Cups of Pure Apple Juice</li>
<li>4 Green Tea bags</li>
<li>Distilled Water</li>
</ul>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>Directions:</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<ol>
<li>Combine Lemond packet, Apple Juice and Apple Cider Vinegar in 2 quart pitcher. </li>
<li>Boil water for Green Tea.</li>
<li>Boil water to fill the rest of the pitcher (or use distilled water from the grocery store).</li>
<li>Mix together and let cool in the refrigerator before you drink. </li>
</ol>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Enjoy! But only drink about 8oz per day. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

I started making Black Bean Burgers when I was 20. I was a "Vegetarian" for almost 2 years at that point for reasons I will not get into right now. I had researched and tried about a dozen recipes until I finally just decided to do my own thing. Then I tried about a dozen of "my own thing-recipes" and I'm sure you could guess how a few of those turned out. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_plcnRrEfYR1_3DHVbn406-DI_XBOzQPWO4z_PpkzNTGm66ZsIai5U8S0wHnNF5U5n5muHUl1yjfzKwf4ZNFpmaQx4qcrfSmWP8ELSI8k5pmUYXaJc7j_N2ZTgmpLCUCHnSBNj4jvV7g/s640/blogger-image-1996804090.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_plcnRrEfYR1_3DHVbn406-DI_XBOzQPWO4z_PpkzNTGm66ZsIai5U8S0wHnNF5U5n5muHUl1yjfzKwf4ZNFpmaQx4qcrfSmWP8ELSI8k5pmUYXaJc7j_N2ZTgmpLCUCHnSBNj4jvV7g/s640/blogger-image-1996804090.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
So, after a dozen and one tries here's my favorite recipe.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Step 1: </div>
<div>
Beans and Carrots</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
You can buy canned beans, but I prefer dried beans in a Crockpot all day to cans. Either will work and either will taste good. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Carrots are the same way either buy a can of carrots or buy a bag for a whopping 94 cents and boils half of them. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Cook both and mash together. Be careful not to mash all the beans completely (unless you like them that way).</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Step 2: </div>
<div>
Oil, Eggs, Extras</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
If you are a Vegan you obviously can not use eggs. For the egg part you can simply use oil (that's what I did last time I made them) or you can make flax eggs or another alternative. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
For this step just add 3 Tbs of oil (without egg) or 1 Tbs (with 1 egg). </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Chop any veggies, other than carrots, that you want in the meat and add to your mixture. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Onions, Green Bell Peppers, and Spinach are very common add-ins.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Step 3:</div>
<div>
Patty-in! Patty-in! Patty-in! Yah!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Make your patties! Be sure not to make them too thick or thin. About 1/2 an inch should cook just fine. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
At this point you can either bake them in the oven at 350° for about 6 minutes, or you can fry them on medium-high temperature at about four minutes per side. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
If you use 1 can of black beans this should yield about 3-4 patties. I make large batches of black beans* in my Crockpot and use what I need until it runs out. Each batch of patties uses about 2 1/2 cups per batch. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
*Side Note: I bake my beans in beef broth to make it taste more like a burger or if I do navy beans I use chicken broth (for faux chicken sandwiches, of course). Soy sauce is good too! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
**Occasionally a Tbs of peanut butter baked in adds some protein and tastes really good with a raspberry vinegarette, and arugula.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
</div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="505" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDgSmfwoyuFOVCXX0CQaNw7-jJ9G1-t_atrczA8D8E9N4zbN4_hsGfCtly1FQx14J4HEUF5YqqD7NSX7Qq0kz2SZ0WYngd5hlpv4tGiqi7VU2v3-JN7S5QqyIja_XElV1HSp80ne6rlEQ/s640/blogger-image-554407839.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
It got real up in our kitchen last night. Well, it also got real messy up in our kitchen last night. I opted not to take a picture of the crazy mess. I was a baking tornado going through our kitchen. I finally got it all cleaned up this morning. I made homemade pizza, which was pretty much a fail. Caleb said he liked it, but I think he was only saying that because he's my husband. I did however revert back to my Vegetarian days and make a few loaves of bread. I decided that since it still to this day turned out good, I would come share them here for all of you to try, and you should, if you love bread. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<b>Rolled Oat Loaf</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<u>Here are the ingredients for the first one:</u></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract (I also use imitation vanilla when we're on a tight budget)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
2 Cups Flour (any flour will work here, I use regular, or wheat)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
1 Cup Rolled Oats</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
1 Cup Sugar (I like brown or coconut sugar better in my rolled oat loaf)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
2/3 Cup plain yogurt (substituting greek yogurt makes a much different texture when it is all said and done, I don't really like it but you may)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
1 Tbs Baking Soda</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
2 eggs (2 will work, but honestly I usually use 3)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
1/4 cup melted butter</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Pinch of salt</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
1 Tbs Cinnamon and Sugar mixture</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<u>Directions</u>:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Mix all ingredients (but keep the cinnamon and sugar out for the end)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Spray your loaf pan</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Pour into loaf pan</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Bake for 45 mins. - 65mins. depending on how you like your bread, just make sure it's cooked all the way through</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Sprinkle the cinnamon and sugar mixture on top right when you take it out of the oven</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
It's seriously that easy! And delicious, but don't take my word for it! Try it! </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://app.etapestry.com/hosted/SowerofSeedsIntlMinistriesInc/OnlineDonation.html" target="_blank"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiY0Kp-N1N4NbmpGh_kCl29KQRNiQ5-X_OnJr5LiaglKYRA2hTvmBHyOUxDYOFvPhnjvfZTS_Y2pkr2epagLMZgo_0t4O_JncRAgXsFeqimu6sBPsiaKVAcz7vDnqnDX3PwYu1gKToFsss/s1600/1889316_610091655728675_702780576_n.jpg" height="640" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
All these things cost about $8.00:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<ol>
<li>2 Grande Coffee Frappuccinos with whip and caramel drizzle</li>
<li>Steak 'n Shake's "Steak 'n Shake" meal</li>
<li>7 things at Dollar Tree</li>
<li>1 bottle of nail polish at Target</li>
<li>Multivitamins at CVS</li>
<li>Charmin © paper towels (12 pack) with a coupon</li>
<li>Chicken Nugget meal at Chick-fil-a</li>
<li>2 Twelve packs of Dr. Pepper</li>
<li>2 Tank tops from Walmart</li>
<li>3 boxes of Special K Cereal ™</li>
</ol>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
How many of us buy the things listed above?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div>
Well, honestly I can say that I am a "tight-wad" so I don't think I'd buy a bottle of nail polish for that much, but that's pretty normal for a really good polish. The rest of the things on this list I buy pretty regularly (except the tank tops, even though occasionally I do). My question to myself was…</div>
<div>
If I just gave up buying one of the things one time, would it effect me? The answer…</div>
<div>
No, I could easily give up buying one of these without it really effecting me in any capacity at all. </div>
<div>
So, why do I ask this question? Because, $7.77 will buy clean water for one person for 30 years.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><u>30 YEARS</u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
We spend that much on 2 cases of 24 bottles of clean drinking water a month or every two weeks, or every week. Whatever that is for your family, lots and lots of us do it, right? But there is a place on this earth in 2014 (which is crazy to me) where people don't have clean drinking water, people don't have clean water to bathe in, people don't have clean water to cook with, or fill up their personal swimming pools, or ponds or fountains, or bird baths, or washing machines, or toilets, etc. I just keep thinking of all the ways that we use water. I keep thinking of all the ways that we WASTE water! And then, there are people around this planet that don't have any to even drink. And we can live with that? We do though, every day it's as if when it's "out of sight, it's out of mind" I am praying that I never get that way about wanting to help these people. </div>

I urge every single person that reads this to click <a href="https://app.etapestry.com/hosted/SowerofSeedsIntlMinistriesInc/OnlineDonation.html" target="_blank">here</a> and go donate <b>$7.77 </b>(seriously that is nothing for many people) and skip Starbucks tomorrow, and be glad that you did because your one coffee just provided one person water to drink. Huh, kind of a strange thought that they probably haven't ever even had a cup of coffee, and are we willing to give up just one cup?</div>

<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZWyuqt-nCsQT_d2wHLSNBLm7P63Q6ixa1nHAis4Dlm48efLqMSHuNJmqwsD5ivgZZl4Zz_y5MHhck4lQezlArtnExgczicl__j7q05Tv6t5NhG0hM5UeRcDUiA27cjGgCoXndRLiuZSQ/s1600/break-18987_640.jpg" height="426" width="640" /></div>
<br />
I don't know about all of you, but blogging is one of my favorite things to do. I know I have said that many times, but it's true. You know what else is true about blogging?<br />
<br />
It's not always fun. Yep, I said it. I have read so many blogs that say things like "don't blog if you don't enjoy it," "it shouldn't feel like work," yada yada yada. I'm going to be brutally honest. I don't always love blogging. It's not always enjoyable. Sometimes I post things that are hard to write. Sometimes I post things that aren't peachy and pretty. Sometimes I sit down to write a post and literally, my mind goes_______________! Completely blank! No joke! Ever been there?<br />
<br />
I sat down just yesterday to write a fun post about the lake and the things that the Lord revealed to me while I was there and just the fun stuff I did and when I sat down. Nothing!<br />
<br />
Days like that are not fun. Days where I have a billion thoughts going through my head and absolutely everything I type leads me to another thought and I can't type fast enough to get it all out. Not only can I not get it all out, but I can't organize it at that moment, and when I get done typing, I am so worn out that I don't want to go back and read all the jumbled mess that I just wrote out.<br />
<br />
I know that a huge part of blogging and keeping your readers engaged continuing to post (most people suggest that you post at least two times a week) however, that is difficult sometimes. I know that life gets crazy, busy, and you don't even care to write sometimes, but you do it anyway just to "keep readers engaged," but I have to be honest. I don't think that keeps them engaged when you just write random nothing and post it to get views, engage people, etc. I think this honestly draws them away from your blog.<br />
<br />
I have been guilty of this and I totally bought into the lie that I had to post something not to lose readership, followers, fans, etc., but the truth is, your content is key! Don't just post random junk. I will be the first to admit that I have posted junk. I made an editorial calendar and then, just because next week has three post ideas and deadlines, I would normally try to write them all out and get them done, but I am learning that CONTENT is seriously the key to post success!<br />
<br />
What is post success? Well, that depends on your own personal beliefs. For me, I count success in posting as sending something out into the world wide web that is potentially beneficial to someone, keeps with the theme of things on CTB, encourages, builds up, and speaks truth. A successful post is one that doesn't necessarily have 10,000 views the first ten minutes it's posted, but you can be content and happy with the content you put up.<br />
<br />
Happy Typing bloggers!<br />

In Light if Eternity? {1}<span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Some of you may have read my post that was (I don't use this word but it's necessary to make a point) "uber" depressing last week, that I took down, because it just wasn't the right time to put it up, I will though, it will be back up, just in the right time. If you didn't read it, that's okay, just know I was in a bad depressive state of mind for a few days, and I didn't know how to climb out of it.<br /><br />The past few days my sweet husband who has the patience of, I can't even say Job, because that's too over-used to make my point of how much patience my husband has, and I am so blessed to be the recipient of. Well, he has been out of town, in a time where I wondered why God's timing allowed for that since I was in my "bad depressed state of mind." However, this week, through being literally on my knees before my creator, in a humble adoration and a heart full of need and desperation for God, I truly found Him.<br /><br />This might be a stretch of an example, but with the college girls I feel like I have this recurring theme song (really it's just a saying, but theme song sounds so much more fun) and it goes like this, "In Light of Eternity…"<br /><br />In Light of Eternity…does it really matter that you aren't going to see your boyfriend for a week?<br /><br />In Light of Eternity…does it really matter that you made a "C" on a test instead of a "B"?<br /><br />In Light of Eternity…does it really matter that your boss is making you work 2 Saturdays in a row?<br /><br />In Light of Eternity…does it really matter that the guy you were interested in likes someone else?<br /><br />In Light of Eternity…it absolutely matters that the guy you like doesn't know Jesus!<br /><br />In Light of Eternity…if we believe what we say we believe, that Jesus is who He says He is, the Son of God, who came to rescue us from the domain of darkness and through His death, burial, and resurrection bring us into His marvelous light. If He redeems broken, sinful, and wretched people, reconciling us to God the Father. The same God that moves mountains, parts seas, walks on water, brings dead men to life, makes blind to see, lame to walk, and says that He works for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose, so that He might get glory and we can be raised up with Him in life and joy and perfect peace and glory. In Light of Eternity do I desire God's glory above all else and if I do, then In Light of Eternity...<br /><br />I use this so much that it has become second nature to me and I say it, because I do know the weight of the statement, but I don't think I always believe it for myself at first. What I mean is, for it to be such an overused statement in my own vocabulary, I forget to ask myself that question sometimes and I forget to remind myself of the power of the one true God who brings dead men to life.<br /><br />So, I found myself asking…<br /><br />In Light of Eternity…does it matter that all these things are happening that aren't how I thought they should go?<br /><br />In Light of Eternity…does it matter that my expectations aren't being met the way I thought they should be?<br /><br />In Light of Eternity…<br /><br />In Light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, my assured Hope, and my redeeming Savior,<br /><br />In Light of the cross, and the resurrection…<br /><br />In Light of the Holy, Matchless, Almighty, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Alpha and Omega, Beginning and End, Messiah, Prince of Peace, Risen and Conquering King,<br /><br />In Light of JESUS…where am I placing my trust? Where am I placing my hope? Do my actions or reactions to all the stresses of life, and all the sorrow I have faced bring glory to my Father?<br /><br />Today I am at a place that, well, I just have to sit at the foot of the cross of my Savior and humbly lay EVERYTHING down.<br /><br />My expectations.<br />My needs.<br />My sadness.<br />My sorrow.<br />My unknowing of what's He has next.<br />My contentment.<br />My wants.<br />My emotions.<br />My feelings.<br /><br />I am so thankful that "In Light of Eternity" and "In Light of Jesus" I can lay EVERYTHING down at the throne and trust and know that God is in control. He works for my good, and He uses me to bring glory to His name. He is a loving and just God that desires for us to know Him. He is a merciful and gracious Lord, that keeps every promise He's ever made. He is Love, and therefore can love me and love through me with perfect love that is so patient and kind, doesn't envy or boast, isn't arrogant, doesn't keep a record of wrongs, and absolutely never fails.</span><br />

Yay!!! I am seriously so blessed! I don't deserve such a wonderful husband, but God is so good to give him to me anyway out of His gracious love for me.<br />
<br />
I'm about to take a step back into 6th grade… (don't judge)..<br />
<br />
<b>C</b>alled to be a follower of Jesus and raise up others to join in a relationship with Christ. Called to be held accountable as a minister of the Gospel and does it with grace and love at the forefront of his actions, speech, and mindset. Truly, I see it everyday!<br />
<b>A</b>wkwardly Awesome, and I LOVE him that way!<br />
<b>L</b>oves others in a way that I have never seen anyone else on this planet love people. Loves people with a love that is truly from the Holy Spirit and it is evident in his life, daily. (I am a more that thankful recipient of this love that God uses him to pour out to others.)<br />
<b>E</b>verything I could ever ask for in a husband<b>.</b><br />
<b>B</b>rings me joy on a daily basis! He lays down his life everyday for the Lord and in so doing it blesses me!<br />
<br />

<br />
<span style="text-align: left;"><br /></span>
<span style="text-align: left;">I love my husband more than I could ever possibly explain and I pray for all you single ladies that read this that you would wait on the Lord for the man He has for you and that He would give you all the patience you need to wait for a man that you can honestly say all these same wonderful things about. I am truly blessed! I can't even fathom why, but that's what God does He extends grace, love, and mercy and works in such wonderful ways that escape our realm of thinking, because He loves us that much!</span><br />

<br /></div>
I am so excited to be joining in again to the Let's Be Friends Blog Hop! It has not only grown, but it has gotten better than ever! <a href="http://www.thedwellingtree.com/p/about-me.html" target="_blank">Tiffany</a> over at <a href="http://www.thedwellingtree.com/2014/05/lets-be-friends-blog-hop-64-is-now-live.html" target="_blank">The Dwelling Tree </a>(you can click on her button over here >>> to the right and go check it out) has now made her blog hop a content share link up instead of just a you follow me, I follow you blog hop (which is what the majority of the ones I have ever participated in have been). But this is such a neat and fresh take on blog hopping. You go read the blogger's best posts from the week and get to know their writing style and passion a lot quicker. You don't just see a blog hop button but you see great content and the blogger at her/his best. I am so excited about this and will continue to join in as much as possible and you should too!<br />
<br />
<br />
P.S. For all of you bloggers if you missed the start to the <a href="http://lacymeeker.blogspot.com/2014/04/8-questions-you-should-answer-in-order.html" target="_blank">Blog Calendar Editorial Guide</a>, <a href="http://lacymeeker.blogspot.com/2014/04/8-questions-you-should-answer-in-order.html">here</a> it is.<br />

I am so thankful for my wonderful husband, my job and my co-workers. The week we came home from our honeymoon, we decided that I would get a part-time job. I honestly wanted to work at Belk, because I love all the ladies up there. So, after gong into the store to ask about applying and exchange some things, I went home.<br />
<br />
Not, I decided while I was already in town I would go to another store and get some shopping done. Right next door was a Learning Center and for some reason I just thought, I'll go inside and see if I can just get an application. I went in and the lady sent me to another location that needed an afternoon teacher and started the next day. I am so thankful for it too! My job has been a huge blessing! I am actually going to their other location soon to teach Pre-K, again, and I can't wait. As excited as I am though, I am so sad at the same time. I have the best co-workers, and the best kids (even though they eat rocks and sticks and leaves, and who knows what, I seriously say "drop it" and "spit it out" it feels like 100 times when we go outside everyday) but they are so cute! I am going to miss all of them terribly, but I'm excited about what the Lord is going to do at the other center.<br />
<br />
I am so thankful for my husband supporting me in all of this and all my schooling to try and become a teacher! Seriously, I know I sound like a sappy 13 year old school girl with a crush on someone, but I am so blessed! My husband is awesome, and encouraging, and loves me well! I am so thankful!<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsfG0bWqIUKG5NQwl9sf-aWHZ7MzNPJr0VGk95mAz5MuZx2SKcsCb0d2GLrCuXVvWZD0T4L8kb3Y8B5R6FOMLd5pdGN4RTljBd43PMsC8l0lZ5kXn-9h-g8RlKaeiP8M6S0_eXqXdJJVM/s1600/lemon-191725_640.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsfG0bWqIUKG5NQwl9sf-aWHZ7MzNPJr0VGk95mAz5MuZx2SKcsCb0d2GLrCuXVvWZD0T4L8kb3Y8B5R6FOMLd5pdGN4RTljBd43PMsC8l0lZ5kXn-9h-g8RlKaeiP8M6S0_eXqXdJJVM/s1600/lemon-191725_640.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I have read and read and read and read too many posts about this "Detox Water" that supposedly helps you lose weight. I don't know if it actually works, but I figured if I found one that tastes good and could be a good source of vitamins (C) or really anything good since, well, I had Pizza Hut for dinner tonight, umm… I'll try it!<br />
<br />
So after reading all those posts, I just decided to make up my own recipe and see what happens.<br />
<br />
Here's what I came up with:<br />
<br />
1 Pitcher (I got it at Dollar Tree)<br />
2 Lemons (From Target last week because they were on the Cartwheel App)<br />
1 Cucumber (From Walmart)<br />
Water<br />
<br />
Wash (REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY SUPER) thoroughly all 3 produce items<br />
<br />
Slice them, put them in a pitcher<br />
Add water<br />
Let chill in refrigerator<br />
Enjoy!<br />
<br />
I love it! I am a "Water with lemon" kind of person anyways, but I really do love it! And I guess it sort of makes me feel a tiny bit better about Pizza Hut (not really, I just tell myself that, but I'm not too convincing).<br />

<br />
Those people that talk and think awesome-crazy and outside of the box or circle, let's call it a circle, because let's be honest they probably don't live in a box anyway. It's really more like a circle with endless amounts of outside the circle thoughts, right? You know those people that make scripture passages you've heard your entire life sound so completely new, refreshing, and relevant that they make you want to go back and dig deeper. That is my cousin <a href="http://sarahmacintosh.com/" target="_blank">Sarah MacIntosh</a>'s music. I love listening to <a href="http://sarahmacintosh.com/" target="_blank">her</a> most recent <a href="http://sarahmacintosh.com/music/" target="_blank">album</a>, because it does exactly that. After listening it just puts me in the mood to dive into the Word head first and not come up for air until I absolutely can't read anymore. The lyrics are so well written (and sung!). Every time I listen I get this deep longing for the Word in my soul, and I can't rest until it's satisfied. I know the Holy Spirit had to be all over the brains behind this operation, it's seriously that good! Just sayin'<br />
<br />
So just as some pre-reading and spending time with Jesus preparation tonight listen to<a href="http://sarahmacintosh.com/music/" target="_blank"> this </a>and click over to listen <a href="http://sarahmacintosh.com/music/" target="_blank">more</a>. I promise you won't regret it.<br />
<br />
and then go read...<br />

<div style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;">
</div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
I have become known for making Chicken Spaghetti for as my friend Olivia puts it, "any occasion that involves more than four people, she makes chicken spaghetti." Then as the discussion continued, Emily added that I made something different for our Passover Celebration Dinner, which included, macaroni and cheese and chicken. So, again, it was a form or chicken, noodles, and cheese. I have to say I am extremely fond of the combination, the noodles and cheese part especially!<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhEZEf5tIqFfjT62qvYznF31SkVQkcp7TuTS1thMP2HNhKf-r2vviWET7ix50LwEGmaJOroZ0kom7_Gp7M7gf1IIOSCZF2Dr052nDPod1vw3iT31T2V6K1J7U_nW7UWblHSdqqfd9NSgBU/s1600/photo+2-3.JPG" height="640" width="475" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
All of that has nothing to do with this recipe, I just thought I would give you a little bit of insight on my love for cheese and noodles and how many recipes I would love to come up with, and share, but I'll stick to this one first!<br />
<br />
<u><b>Ingredients</b></u>:<br />
French Fried Onions<br />
Velveeta Cheese<br />
Shell Noodles<br />
Vegetable Oil<br />
Rotel, and I use the original<br />
<br />
<b><u>Optional Ingredients:</u></b><br />
Salt and Pepper to taste<br />
Milk (no more than 1/8 cup, just to make it slightly creamier)<br />
Butter (But really you don't need it)<br />
<br />
<b><u>Directions:</u></b><br />
Cube the Velveeta Cheese and Mix in a Medium pan with the Rotel<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjo4tBS0CoWyny0FIpDVom008MQC9UXIJ-KfE3brVhgKIZPZ3rHK1pxTUL823-644j39uAQY0TMku9aBva-wGvxnBvnfn_CeGCE9ilAsrKMYVGJqJHcEeG7g7lDt0ym0ZxwszgbewPi6UQ/s1600/photo+1-3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjo4tBS0CoWyny0FIpDVom008MQC9UXIJ-KfE3brVhgKIZPZ3rHK1pxTUL823-644j39uAQY0TMku9aBva-wGvxnBvnfn_CeGCE9ilAsrKMYVGJqJHcEeG7g7lDt0ym0ZxwszgbewPi6UQ/s1600/photo+1-3.JPG" height="640" width="476" /></a></div>
<br />
You should mix it on Medium-Low until the consistency looks about like this:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjrbazPKPEedL_8YwNqzpK9uwQ67genuK1Mp-YLr9T-rldpt19B8yVVSjaDW3Q9OnpqpKVkG7yvyYdBGdfRZt8AtskOOZstIe0Ii1kb5d5TetFKPFR9S2FvTMonMij7E4BTQQNvvYZK08c/s1600/photo+3-4.JPG" height="640" width="478" /></div>
<br />
While you are mixing these two boil and get your noodles ready (this is where the vegetable oil comes in I always put literally a dash of vegetable oil in my water right before I put the noodles in, so that they don't stick to the bottom or sides)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqpmvQ_ekJhDMFgA_Ju01y7QZq7XxXZMq1z_8VWl70hJkJ9b6pJJTKmx_Op3QxwY5XpAohCjCZyXPzrNofcpbYNBi8U45Sq3W_wRSFtWOqggSjtKKlISNZ0pOuJFKasW58uHchCLpC_Uc/s1600/photo+4-1+copy.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqpmvQ_ekJhDMFgA_Ju01y7QZq7XxXZMq1z_8VWl70hJkJ9b6pJJTKmx_Op3QxwY5XpAohCjCZyXPzrNofcpbYNBi8U45Sq3W_wRSFtWOqggSjtKKlISNZ0pOuJFKasW58uHchCLpC_Uc/s1600/photo+4-1+copy.JPG" height="640" width="476" /></a></div>
<br />
In a separate small bowl mix 1/2 Cup of French Fried Onions with about a TBS of the cheese and Rotel Mixture<br />
<br />
When both the noodles and Velveeta sauce are ready, put them in a baking dish. I use a circle <a href="http://www.corningware.com/" target="_blank">CorningWare</a> dish. CorningWare and Pyrex are my two favorite things to cook and store food in.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguKXfIgt9rXgwIx3uWP1pEdEDMpRa1BwWugScI4eVuUQjuEJbf5WjKf_m8kcuLIBoguTal03Hu9xYoZJUW3_7k01LE_86g_441PgocEYcXqCUpoTxb1iE9jCwp9bpekyY8SlEbGmmGyb8/s1600/photo+5+copy+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguKXfIgt9rXgwIx3uWP1pEdEDMpRa1BwWugScI4eVuUQjuEJbf5WjKf_m8kcuLIBoguTal03Hu9xYoZJUW3_7k01LE_86g_441PgocEYcXqCUpoTxb1iE9jCwp9bpekyY8SlEbGmmGyb8/s1600/photo+5+copy+2.JPG" height="640" width="478" /></a></div>
<br />
Top with the French Fried Onions and Velveeta mixture<br />
<br />
Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes.<br />
<br />
Enjoy!<br />
<br />

I have been working on this FOR-EV-ER! I am finally sitting down and finishing it and can tell you what not to and what to do in order to make it your own and make it functional.<br />
<br />
My Editorial Calendar will start and end in May, NOT January, like I am sure most everyone's does and should, but for my life, May works better I guess.<br />
<br />
Before you read the Monthly list of suggestions, Please read through the 8 Questions You Should Answer in Order to Create an Effective Editorial Calendar:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbl-LaSHtzgr7dC1Tmj-KeYG-4XV37G3dUUmjSNFfZIdmDW00zyu43hcq-mOLtJw3V8M86OF7iShic7PLd-_yz2Gd0K2EPSRFe5Vyj8xlhHK6KcLhk-8Btz1VbhhePBdXofQwKGzCnLuo/s1600/8EditorialCalendar.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbl-LaSHtzgr7dC1Tmj-KeYG-4XV37G3dUUmjSNFfZIdmDW00zyu43hcq-mOLtJw3V8M86OF7iShic7PLd-_yz2Gd0K2EPSRFe5Vyj8xlhHK6KcLhk-8Btz1VbhhePBdXofQwKGzCnLuo/s1600/8EditorialCalendar.jpg" height="425" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Before you create your Editorial Calendar:<br />
<br />
<ol>
<li>Do you want yours to look similar to everyone else's or do you NEED it to be unique to your crazy schedule. With this question remember that you don't have to do a monthly calendar, you could just do a simple idea calendar or a quarterly update calendar, etc. Be Creative!</li>
<li>How often do I want to create a new post and schedule it? You DON'T HAVE to post Every single day if you don't want to, it's your blog! Hello!</li>
<li>Do I have a niche? What is it? How do my post ideas fit in that niche?</li>
<li>What are my "MUST HAVE" Post Ideas?</li>
</ol>
<div>
After you create your Editorial Calendar:</div>
<div>
<ol>
<li>Do the ideas I have down help anyone else or are they just for reading pleasure? Should I change this if it isn't helpful?</li>
<li>How many hours/week will the ideas I have down take me to sit and write out.</li>
<li>Do these posts require anything such as pictures, artwork, a download link, links of any kind, etc. to be added before posting and how long will adding all of that into my post take?</li>
<li>Do I feel good and confident in my ideas?</li>
</ol>
<div>
IF you are good with all the answers to all of the questions above, then get busy! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">If you are interested in a free downloadable worksheet please feel free to send a quick email to: info{at}chosentheblog{dot}com with the subject line saying: "Editorial Worksheet Please!" And I will send it right over to you (you don't have to write a message, if you don't want I know what you are looking for, but I'd love to hear from you if you're feeling chatty)</span></div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfofMERgm3aKKuBUyZIrYF37P8AIEZgji8O80O3_DlziQNVxc72UqdnvTCXVtaLYA4kKODXMcEW1JuwgiNOsm8zOPQiVjUnsRhsaXwP8vrtIF4xFNlH_tkgGlupEEIPmMWso-SvyAe0Qk/s1600/alphabet-15461_asdfasdfa40.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfofMERgm3aKKuBUyZIrYF37P8AIEZgji8O80O3_DlziQNVxc72UqdnvTCXVtaLYA4kKODXMcEW1JuwgiNOsm8zOPQiVjUnsRhsaXwP8vrtIF4xFNlH_tkgGlupEEIPmMWso-SvyAe0Qk/s1600/alphabet-15461_asdfasdfa40.jpg" height="478" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I have been dreading this post but I feel it is necessary. I keep sending out all of these posts apologizing for spending so much time away from my blog, but the more I think about it…the more I'm not sorry. During the past few months, getting married, going on our honeymoon, moving into his house, adjusting to living together, getting a new job, AND blogging. I admit, I have been absolutely horrible! I said HORRIBLE at doing all of that AND blogging, but that's life. Blogging can wait.<br />
<br />
With all of that said, I do love blogging, it just takes time! So, I have decided for the rest of the year I am going to focus on living life and NOT blogging. BUT I am going to blog while I do it and here is how:<br />
<br />
<ol>
<li>I'm going to schedule time every Friday to sit down and go over what happened that week so I can develop what parts I want to put on here.</li>
<li>I'm going to make an <a href="http://lacymeeker.blogspot.com/2014/04/8-questions-you-should-answer-in-order.html">editorial calendar</a> that works and fits my schedule. </li>
<li>I'm going to start carrying a Blog notebook with me everywhere I go.</li>
<li>I'm going to let it slide when I forget to blog about something or just simply don't have time to get on my computer to post something.</li>
<li>I'm going to write out my "weekly" or "series" posts all at once and schedule them to be posted.</li>
</ol>
<div>
I hope these 5 Steps will help any of you struggling to keep up with your blog as well.</div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-f-24ILgHV4Qdgy6vmIeDMDA7wdq4Idz3y8NeiZmkBZ7vROkm0__NYi-JSXtI_h2GFrGXNkTqC_qj1QzPSbuwwg8MMT3mZb-_9zcCPcMTwReSB371OxRxC0bJt2iTk0EbmlnXZzB8yW0/s1600/DSC_6858_edited-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-f-24ILgHV4Qdgy6vmIeDMDA7wdq4Idz3y8NeiZmkBZ7vROkm0__NYi-JSXtI_h2GFrGXNkTqC_qj1QzPSbuwwg8MMT3mZb-_9zcCPcMTwReSB371OxRxC0bJt2iTk0EbmlnXZzB8yW0/s1600/DSC_6858_edited-1.jpg" height="640" width="426" /></a></div>
<br />
This first post is pretty simple actually. I made a list of things I was thankful I did and urge you newly engaged people or "one of these days" people to do on your wedding day.<br />
<br />
1. Have your best friends that aren't actually in the wedding come pray with you before.<br />
<br />
2. Let your grandparents do whatever they want (my grandma did my flowers and I was a little bit nervous that they wouldn't be what I had in mind, but they ended up being better.)<br />
<br />
3. Do a first look with your dad.<br />
<br />
4. Pray with your husband after you both get dressed and don't actually see each other. Don't use it as a photo op either. Just you and him.<br />
<br />
5. Let your sister (or best friend) help you get ready.<br />
<br />
6. Don't fret over the little details. Trust the people you give jobs to do, to actually do them and let them run with it.<br />
<br />
7. Make a plan for the honeymoon night. I will say we sort of had a plan and didn't go 100% by it, but I think it helped with being nervous.<br />
<br />
8. Hug your siblings and tell them you love them.<br />
<br />
9. Don't have a driver, that was such a special time for us, it was our first time as a married couple to be alone, just us, and I loved every second of it.<br />
<br />
10. Don't make too many plans. I had an entire week of plans made out and Lady B kept telling me I was, "crazy, girlfriend!" but I didn't listen until that week and I should've known better. I ended up switching most of them so we had more free time, but seriously, don't plan too much.<br />
<br />

I'm truly sorry about that, but I didn't want to miss out (who am I kidding I didn't even have time to blog) on any wedding moments or newly-wed times these past few weeks. I can't believe we have been married for almost a month now! That's crazy, but completely awesome! I have so much to share on here. I can't wait to tell you all about all of it! I'm going to do a quick series on the wedding and all of the fun DIY stuff we did at the wedding, share all about the awesome things God has been teaching me just in the past few weeks, start a crock pot series (to which I will tell you the truth about how the recipes actually taste-there have been a few bad ones), and share lots and lots and lots of pictures! I can't wait I just started catching up on blog reading today so I am behind on what is going on with all of ya'll, as well, so I am looking forward to seeing how you've been, and I hope well.<br />
<br />
Also, don't forget about the<a href="http://hellolovelyawards.blogspot.com/" target="_blank"> Hello Lovely Blog Conference</a>, I can't wait an I hope to see lots of you there. It is going to be informative, educational, and fun (and there will be tons of chocolate). I hope you are all having a wonderful Sunday afternoon! I can't wait to talk to you!<br />

Happy Christmas Eve Day! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Every year our family plays this game. I am guessing back in the old days there was a prize for whoever won. My PawPaw used to tell me the prize was a Yankee Dime (kiss). I don't think it has a name it's just "Christmas Eve Gift" Whoever tells each other that first on Christmas Eve wins. Hmmm…it doesn't sound just extremely fun, but I promise, it is. I think it's because we don't get to see or talk to each other much during the holidays because it's so stinking busy, but it is another excuse to text your cousins and without saying "I love you" implying it. I love Christmas Eve Gift. Libby beat me to it this year, but she only got a few people and I beat her to the rest. We are night owls, so the last few years I have text most of my cousins probably before they were asleep and then awoke to texts back. That's a good Christmas Eve morning. I hope it is for them too. It's one of my favorite traditions!<br />
<br />
I am so blessed by all of my cousins it's crazy to think that God has blessed our family so much and sometimes I even wonder why. I actually struggle with that sometimes. Why is He so good to us and there are others suffering or hurting, etc., but I guess the cool part of that is God has given all(I can safely say all of us) of us a passion and heart for those who are suffering and hurting and those who don't know Him and that He can and will meet all of the needs of His children. He is so good to us! I am overwhelmed thinking today about our precious King, Redeemer and Savior, Jesus Christ this morning! I am so incredibly grateful!<br />

It has been a crazy two weeks. Today I am so thankful for my little Leo. He had the worst Sunday I could imagine. I had to be gone pretty much all day, and when I came home I just had a horrible feeling about him. It was the weirdest thing ever. I opened the door and I didn't see him in his normal spot looking for me when I come home. I told myself not to panic and went to open the back door. No Leo. So I hopped out the door as fast as I could hollering for him as loud as I could. I couldn't hardly see anything because of the shadows from the trees. I saw that the fence had been pushed down and there was a gap that he'd torn up under my house that hadn't been there that morning. My first thought was that he had gotten out and ran away or something. Then I saw his little feet and the wire hanging over the fence. I screamed ( it was the most high pitch scared to death, bloody murder scream I have ever let out) as if I had just seen a dead person. I thought when I got closer to him I was going to see him strangled in the wire. My whole heart sank and I think from the shock my whole body went numb and I ran as fast as I could to him ( I wasn't even supposed to be walking on my foot) When I got to him I realized that he had broken part of the fence and gotten his little leg caught in the wires on the other side of the fence. He was sitting upright with that front leg sticking straight out. I went and got him untangled and he was limping on it like he had no feeling in that leg. I was hysterically crying this entire time, screaming as loud as I could hoping someone in my family could hear me, and thinking how absolutely awful all of it was.<br />
<br />
Now, since getting him to the vet and after learning that he had nerve damage on his leg we are going through with some treatment options. I am sad that he has to be in a cast for 6 weeks and that we have some big decisions to make for him in the near future, but I am praying God heals him and he gets his little leg's nerves back. I am just so thankful that it was only his leg that got caught in the wires. I am thankful that he is still here and still being as ornery and as cute as ever.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Okay, truthfully, this was an accidental recipe. I was in a time crunch at one of my friends houses way out in the country and everyone who was coming to our College Christmas party was already there or already too far out of town for me to feel comfortable asking them to pick up something. So, instead of having cranberry sauce out of the can just laid out on a plate, I improvised. I needed a holiday dessert to go with the big holiday dinner and this is it. I don't know if anyone else like it but I am a LOVER of cranberries and I fell in love. I hope you do too! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<b>Ingredients:</b><br />
<br />
<ol>
<li>Yellow Cake Mix (out of a box)</li>
<li>1 Stick of Margarine</li>
<li>1 Can of Jellied Cranberry Sauce</li>
<li>1 Can of Whole Berry Cranberry Sauce</li>
<li>Cinnamon and Sugar (Equal Parts Mixed together)</li>
<li>Crushed up Walnuts</li>
</ol>
<br />
<b>Instructions:</b><br />
<br />
<ol>
<li>In a normal cake pan mash Jellied Cranberry Sauce and Whole Berry Cranberry Sauce together.</li>
<li>Sprinkle cake mixture over top of cranberries covering the entire top (there may be a few little holes and that's okay)</li>
<li>Add a stick of margarine in small 1/8 inch slices all across the top of the cake mix leaving about 1/2 an inch between slices</li>
<li>Scatter Walnuts on top ( I usually do half with and half without the Walnuts)</li>
<li>Bake at 350º for 20 minutes (time varies from oven to oven, occasionally I leave it in for closer to 35 minutes to make it REALLY crispy on top). </li>
<li>Serve with vanilla bean ice cream…if your into that sort of thing.</li>
</ol>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Enjoy! Have a merry merry Christmas! </div>
